This demo contains the first set of levels in what may eventually become a full Klonoa fangame, created using a GBA-style prototype I created originally to get more used to Godot. There didn't seem to be many Klonoa fangames out there, especially ones with fully-written stories, giving me the perfect opportunity to turn that prototype into something more.

PLEASE REMEMBER: This is an early build of a project I have been developing on my own with my own free time. You may encounter some bugs or oversights as you play. A lot of art and ESPECIALLY music isn't finished as well.

STORY:

After traveling for a long time, Klonoa finds himself in yet another dream world that needs his help, only to encounter an empty town. Strangely, the only other person in the town is someone he recognizes...

Making his return from Klonoa: Dream Champ Tournament, the freelance hunter Guntz finds himself in the same dream world! He claims he's looking for someone, but something doesn't add up about his sudden return...

GAMEPLAY:

Klonoa:

The iconic Dream Traveler, Klonoa has very simple gameplay: pick up enemies and either throw them at other enemies or use them to execute a midair double jump!

A/D: Move

Space: Jump, Hover, (while holding something) Midair Jump

Enter: Attack, Throw Enemy


Guntz:

Playable for the first time since Klonoa Heroes, Guntz is a sharpshooter with a strong focus on mobility. He can't hover, but he can use abilities that Klonoa would need to hold enemies for!

A/D: Move

Space: Jump, Midair Jump

Enter: Shoot

Shift: Dash

Pretty solid demo! It's always wonderful to see a klonoa fangame, there ain't that many of them, i hope this project goes far! Also, if you'd like to get some help with the sprites or music, I'd love to work with ya :D

This is a really solid demo! Nice seeing a klonoa fangame and one so well done at that. The gameplay feels spot on to how the gba games controlled is fun! Writing is solid too. Definitely gonna keep an eye out in case you do more
